WCA Waste Corp. said it completed five acquisitions that expand operations in existing markets. WCA Waste added routes to operations in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama and North Carolina with the five acquisitions.
The purchases include:
* Waste Pro Services LLC in Houston, which operates 17 routes, bringing the total number of routes run by WCA (NASDAQ: WCAA) in the Houston metropolitan area to more than 100.
* Eleven routes in Greensboro, N.C. from D H Griffin Container Service LLC, and four routes in Raleigh, N.C. from D H Griffin Container Raleigh.
* Big Red Containers Inc. located in Oklahoma.
* Roll-Off Rentals, a three-truck collection company in Huntsville, Ala.
Specific financial terms weren't disclosed.
WCA Waste has completed 11 acquisitions in 2007, investing $97.6 million. The company is aiming to invest $100 million to growing its operations in 2007, Tom Fatjo, the company's chairman, said in a statement.
