Nissan is labelled a pioneer in creating and developing electric vehicles, with over 70 years of EV heritage in efforts to bring the benefits of EV to more people in more places.
It all began with the Tama electric car, developed in 1947, which was created to solve the problem of extreme gasoline shortage at the time.

Named after the area where it was produced, the Tama was a 2-door passenger car that carried four people, boasted a top speed of 35km/h and had a cruising range of 65km on a single charge.
