DUBAI: The Dubai Fashion 2007 organised by BurJuman and Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) was dazzled with Christian Lacroix and Emanuel Ungaro showcasing their latest spring-summer 2007 line.
The Christian Lacroix ready-to-wear new Spring/Summer 2007 collection was a very urban yet earthy collection featuring small coats, box jackets, above the knee umbrella skirts, cocktail and evening dresses.
The fabrics used in the collection were light wool, silk, cotton and lace all in the colours of spring and summer like black and white, navy and red and sulfur yellow, saffron, peach and mint respectively.
Further the Emanuel Ungaro Spring/Summer 2007 collection also showing all about the vision of freedom and individuality, while the collection is a symphony of colored prints mixed in random patterns inspired by butterfly wings.
The fabrics used in his collection are light, airy and shimmering in vibrant colors like fuchsia, turquoise, blue, orange, yellow, green, platinum and touches of white and black to add a graphic element.
Eisa Adam Ibrahim, General Manager, BurJuman pointed out that the fashion show clearly highlighted the strides Dubai has made in the world of luxury fashion.
Dubai Fashion 2007, a 4-day fashion fiesta showcasing the latest collections of five leading French and Italian brands, is been held from January 9- 12 at the Madinat Jumeirah, Al Jawhara Ballroom, Dubai.
The Emanuel Ungaro and Christian Lacroix on January 11 will be followed by the grand finale of the four-day fashion event, a presentation of the highlights of Dubai Fashion 2007 on January 12 exclusively for ladies.
Dubai Fashion is now a global event and has attracted some of the biggest names in the world of fashion who use it as a platform to showcase their spectacular designs to the discerning and fashion conscious in the region.
Dubai Fashion 2007 will be followed by another spectacular fashion event, Creations 2007, which showcases daily fashion shows by designers from the region and will be held from January 18 until February 1 at BurJuman.
