Leading personal finance and insurance comparison website Souqalmal.com has joined hands with international travel search portal Skyscanner to offer flight booking services in the UAE.
Souqalmal, which allows users to compare more than 3,200 personal loans, home loans, car loans, credit cards, bank accounts as well as car & home insurance policies, says the new partnership will help travellers fetch the best deals available.
“By integrating Skyscanner’s flight search tool with Souqalmal.com’s in-house comparison platform, we aim to empower our users to not only make well-informed decisions when committing to a personal finance or insurance product, but also allow them to leverage the best deals in travel,” says Ambareen Musa, Founder & CEO of Souqalmal.com.
With expats from different parts of the globe making up almost 90 per cent of UAE’s population, international travel is not only a luxury, but also a way of life for residents. It is estimated that Dubai’s flagship airport recorded over 80 million passengers passing through its terminals in 2016. On New Year’s Eve alone, the airport received more than 105,000 passengers, setting a new record in daily passenger traffic.
The large expat population, combined with the fact that the Dubai International Airport is ranked as one of the busiest airports in the world, makes it clear that the demand for top-notch travel search services in the UAE is a growing need.
The new flight comparison tool that can be accessed through flights.souqalmal.com will allow users to search and compare flights.
The flights search data comes thanks to Skyscanner’s White Label product, an industry-leading and bespoke travel search tool, which is now powering travel search for over 1000 businesses globally.
“We are delighted to have partnered with Souqalmal.com to provide their UAE based users with our cutting-edge flight search technology. This partnership is a great fit due to both Skyscanner and Souqalmal’s shared goal of providing value and choice to customers,” says Mike Ferguson, Senior Business Development Manager at Skyscanner.
