A Hamilton paper manufacturer is broadening its reach with a retail Web site for its products. Smart Papers said Thursday it is launching www.smartpapersstore.com to sell its lines of specialty printing papers.
The papers are available in quantities ranging from a pack of 50 to full-size cartons and packs of 100 full-size offset press sheets.
The store offers new convenience for North American printers, designers, businesses and consumers. The respected Kromekote(R) ultra-glossy paper line and all other Smart Papers matte and uncoated offset and digital printing papers are now available in any order size–direct from the manufacturer. All orders are shipped next day via air or ground delivery across North America.
Smart Papers offers more than 1,800 SKUs of premium papers in a wide variety of sizes, weights, colors and finishes via the online store, including Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified papers. Site users can also conduct a search to find recommendations for how each type of paper can be used, the company said in a news release.
The company's full line of coated and uncoated digital printing papers is offered for toner, inkjet and direct imaging presses.
All orders via smartpapersstore.com are by credit card via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, the highest level of encryption available for commercial web browsers. Smartpapersstore.com's host site is certified by TRUST-e, an independent privacy organization.
Smart Papers emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December, after a Connecticut hedge fund, Plainfield Special Situations Master Fund Limited, acquired more than 90 percent of its shares and assumed its debt.
