Actresses turned fashion designer sisters Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen are set to add a new clothes line 'Elizabeth and James' to their couture label, 'The Row'. Named after their sister and brother, the line will include leather jackets, t-shirts, cashmere jumpers and minidresses.
The Olsen twins already dominate the children's toys and entertainment market but now they want to enter fashion with a new range aimed at young women. The new collection is reportedly named after the twins' siblings and is influenced by their own vintage collection.
Women's Wear Daily, a fashion daily, reports that the clothes are aimed at women in their early 20s who are "figuring out life and just experimenting". "We wanted it to be based on a relationship between a young girl and a boy and tell the story through the clothing," the twins said.
Mary-Kate and Ashley have a clothing line in Wal-Mart stores across America for girls aged 4-14, as well as a beauty line called 'Mary-Kate and Ashley: Real fashion for real girls'.
Stores such as Nieman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman will be selling the Elizabeth and James range from this autumn and price points range from £40 to £300 for items like silk dresses and fur jackets.
