Chennai: Net Avenue Technologies, an e-marketing firm specialising in gift services, announced yesterday the acquisition of homeindia.com, a top online fashion retailing store here.
Rajesh Nahar, vice-president Net Avenue Technologies, said: "The move will seamlessly integrate the three businesses resulting in inorganic increase in revenues by enhancing value of Net Avenue Technologies."
Launched by fresh graduates in 1998, the company, which works through its site chennaibazaar.com, has carved a niche for itself in the realm of marketing made-to-order fashion apparel.
Yesterday's development means that the vast Indian diaspora can have access to tailor made garments.
"Homeindia.com offers a unique high-end shopping experience with a vast variety of 1,500 designs to choose from and a guarantee of prompt delivery. From US to India to New Zealand, our discerning clientele can pay in nine different currencies depending on their domicile, yet have the same price but international quality," the company's CEO Ritesh Katariya revealed.
"Our merger creates a unique possibility of a New Zealand-based client having a Bond Street cut to their clothes, stitched in India to their personal specifications and delivered at home at Indian prices," Katariya added.
