Emirates Bank, celebrating 30 years of leadership in the UAE banking sector, took its service convenience to new levels with the introduction of the new online bill payment service for du.
The du online payment service enables all du customers to process real time payments of their prepaid or postpaid mobile phone lines via the bank’s electronic channels. Monthly Plan customers can settle their phone bills while Pay as you Go customers can recharge their phones on the spot through Emirates Bank’s ATMs, Cash Deposit Machines and Internet Banking service (BankNet).
Mr. Louis Scotto, Emirates Bank General Manager- Retail Banking commented on the new online payment options saying: “In 2007, Emirates Bank’s extensive electronic banking channels have left no stone unturned to provide customers with alternative payment solutions to settle most of their utility bills. The service is especially useful during the traveling season and ensures a simple, hassle-free way to settle utility bill payments, even when customers are out of the country.”
Scotto continued, “Emirates Bank shares a vision with du that ensures that cutting edge products and services are made available to all UAE residents and visitors. We look forward to enhancing our relationship with du and are pleased to launch a du bill payment & recharge service via several electronic banking channels. This affiliation represents a very important milestone in the active development that we witness daily in the UAE.”
Emirates Bank customers can use BankNet as a payment mode to settle bills to various parties and government authorities such as Etisalat, DEWA, Dubai Police as well as du. Customers can also settle their credit card bills online and even make charity donations. To access this facility, customers must log on to www.me.ae and go to the payments menu on the BankNet webpage and select the payment service required.
